Barnie is a beautiful young Spanish Mastin with so much love to give. He is only two years old and desperately wants to live. But sadly he has suspected hip displacya
He has luxating patella on his hind left (basically his knee dislocates with every step). Luckily he doesn’t appear to be in pain, and he loves his walks and playing with the other dogs in the run. Our vet believes that with treatment he will go on to live the wonderful happy life he so clearly wants. But treatment is going to be expensive, not least because weighing in at 50kg (he’s a big boy) his medication requirements are over double a standard dog.
For just the initial x-rays to determine a course of action our vet has estimated a cost of around £420. The final bill will run to thousands. Barnie doesn’t want to give up so we can’t give up on him either. But we are going to need to raise a lot of money… so please help if you can.
We have made Barnie a wish list on Amazon as we feel he needs some TLC. We would like to get him on glucosomine and get him a nice comfy bed and some toys etc to keep him entertained after he has had the op and make his kennel all cosy.
