Enero is a beautiful young Podenco who was found by oneof our volunteers. She is very sweet natured and very shy so tends to always be in the background. She is very nervous and will run if you try to catch her, but if she is captured in a corner she will simply freeze and collapse on the floor allowing you to pick her up.
Once you have her in your arms she is the most affectionate girl and so loving you won’t want to put her down. She is going to need lots of time, patience and understanding, with someone who is very experienced with nervous dogs and familiar with the breed, but once someone can gain her trust she will be worth all the hard work because she is adorable.
She gets on fine with all the other dogs, but tends to shy away from any of the noise or hustle and bustle of the puppies, preferring to find a nice quiet corner to observe from a distance. She will need a quiet and understanding home ideally with another dog.
