Mammy is a sweet natured lady who just wants a quiet life. When she first arrived at SOS with her 2 puppies she was extremely nervous and not many people could get near her, but there has been an enormous improvement in her and she has learnt to trust people and is very affectionate. She is still a little wary of strangers, but once she knows you she loves to have a cuddle. She walks extremely well on a lead and can go off-lead too and comes back to her name. She is quite independent and happy in her own company, and likes nothing better than to find a nice quiet corner for a snooze. She is good with other dogs and although she likes her own space we tend to think she would need another calm good natured dog for confidence. Mammy would benefit from a quiet, calm mature home, but preferably not with young children simply because they might frighten her. Mammy joined us on our sponsored walk this year and amazed everyone with how she coped with all the hustle and bustle and noise whilst out of her comfort zone, so we know she is ready to go to her forever home.
